From childhood on , I always had a pencil or pen in my hand. Later on I discovered color. To this day, I marvel at the optimism and joy that can become manifest even in the darkness. I feel in my heart to fulfill a dream to create hope and a sense of wonder , to lean into worlds of beauty and form a life of meaning, through art. My mentor in life, Daisaku Ikeda, has said,"When we create or appreciate art, we set free the spirit trapped within. That is why art arouses such joy. ...Those who see art are moved by its passion and strength, its intensity and beauty. That is why it is impossible to seperate life from art."
